Going quiet

Warren Buffett announced that he is “going quiet,” marking the end of an era for one of the business world’s most respected voices as he will no longer write his famous annual letters or speak at the company’s meetings.

This marks another step in Buffett’s gradual handover to his longtime deputy, Greg Abel, who inherits a $382 billion cash pile—built up as Buffett refrained from large acquisitions or share buybacks in recent years.

We will deeply miss the annual letters that have accompanied us throughout our professional lives — a true treasure of investment wisdom and humility. His final words are once again an invitation to reflect, reminding us to focus on what truly matters beyond the short-term market noise.
