Peak interest rates ?

Central banks in developed market have increased interest rates between 4% and 5.5% since the beginning of the tightening cycle ( ex Japan ). The Fed is now pausing and there are increasing signs that central bankers believe the job is close to done as the restrictive monetary policy shows effects. The increase in bankruptcies, the cooling off of the real estate market, the falling PPIs are only a few examples. The future path of interest rates will be “data dependant” as it is uncertain how quickly the higher rates feed into the “real” economy. However, as things stand today, it is reasonable to assume peak interest rates are close.
